Questions

Joining

Who can become a citizen?

Anyone 18 or older, from any country, unless you, or the place you live, are subject to U.S. sanctions. One account per person.

How long does it take?

As long as you like. The course is about 16 hours of lessons, and most of the path is at your own pace. Nothing expires while you work through it.

Do I need to live in Georgia?

No. You can join from anywhere, and everything you need to become a citizen happens online. Freedom Village is there for those who want it.

What does registering cost?

Nothing. You create your account and receive your Citizen ID for free. You pay $99 only when you choose to enrol in the course.

How long has Freedom Nation been around?

Freedom Nation has been growing since 2011. Chairman Faruq Hunter set out its ideas in The Principles of Freedom in 2015, and the first lot at Freedom Village was cleared in 2021.

What does Freedom Nation stand for?

Three founding principles: self-determination, community over individualism and radical transparency. Together, citizens work on six pillars of a free life: housing, food, transportation, infrastructure, education and governance.

I was a citizen before the new portal. Do I start over?

No. Founding citizens keep their citizenship. When you claim your account, you'll be asked to sign the Governance Addendum so you can take part in community votes.

Questions

The course

What is The Principles of Freedom course?

A self-paced online course built on Faruq Hunter's book The Principles of Freedom: 14 modules, about 16 hours, 6 practice labs and a capstone. It teaches how to meet your own needs, give to others from strength and protect what you build.

What do I need to pass?

Score 70% or more on the exam, pass your capstone, say "I commit" to each of the twelve commitments, and sign your Commitment Pledge. Then your certificate is issued, and it never expires.

What if I don't pass the exam the first time?

Your $99 includes two attempts. After a first attempt that doesn't pass, you wait 7 days before the next. Extra attempts are $25 each.

Can I get my money back for the course?

Yes, in full, if you ask within 7 days of paying and haven't started the exam. After that the course fee is non-refundable, but the course stays yours to finish.

Is AI used to score my work?

AI scores the practice labs, the written exam tasks and the capstone against rubrics you can read. We remove your name, email and Citizen ID before anything goes to the AI, and you can ask for a free human review of any AI score within 30 days.

Questions

Dues and leaving

How much are dues, and when are they charged?

$35 a month. Your first $35 is charged when your citizenship is activated, then $35 on the 1st of each month. There is no proration, so activating late in a month means a second $35 on the 1st.

How do I cancel?

If you don't hold land, open Payments in the Citizen Portal and choose Cancel citizenship. No call or email needed. Your dues stop at the end of the month you've paid for, you keep access until then, and there are no partial refunds.

Why can't land holders cancel in the app?

Your land rights at Freedom Village depend on citizenship, so leaving needs a little care. You'll see "Contact us", and our team will talk you through your options, including transferring your unit to another citizen or keeping it and staying a citizen.

What do my dues pay for?

Your dues keep the Citizen Portal and our support team running, and help carry the yearly cost of holding the land at Freedom Village.

What happens if a dues payment fails?

We'll let you know and try again. While dues are unpaid your citizen features, voting included, are paused. Pay what's due and everything switches back on.

Questions

Freedom Village and land

Do I have to hold land?

No. Citizenship and land are separate. Land at Freedom Village is an option for active citizens, never a requirement.

Can I hold a lot right now?

New lot agreements are paused for now while we complete a legal review. Plans already under way continue as normal, and if lots reopen, active citizens will hear first.

What are the lease-purchase terms?

$1,500 down, then the rest over 12, 18 or 24 months, or all at once. No interest, no late fee and no added fees. Cancel within 7 days for a full refund; after that the down payment is non-refundable, except under the 15% refund rule if an agreement ends early.

Do I own the land when I've paid in full?

You receive a Land Unit Deed confirming your exclusive right to use your unit and your rights under the Declaration. Muhammad Hunter Jugger, LLC keeps legal title to the whole tract, and the deed isn't recorded in the county land records.

Is citizenship or land an investment?

No. Citizenship is belonging to a community, and a Land Unit Deed gives rights to use a unit. Neither is an investment, and we never promise a profit or that land will rise in value.

Questions

Trust and privacy

Why do you screen me against sanctions lists?

To comply with U.S. sanctions law, we screen new citizens and land applicants against government sanctions lists. It's usually quick and automatic. If something needs a closer look, we'll tell you and aim to resolve it within two business days.

Is chat private?

Chat is for citizens only, but it isn't end-to-end encrypted, and our team can read messages when needed for safety or legal reasons. Photos and videos keep their embedded data, which can include where they were taken; we tell you this every time you upload.

Can I get documents on paper?

Yes, any time, free of charge. Ask us and we'll post a copy. Notices of Default and Termination for land are always sent by post as well as electronically.
