One citizenship, the same for everyone. You learn first, you agree to a few clear promises, and then you're in. Here's every step, every cost and every promise, before you spend a cent.

Register in the Citizen Portal. We give you your Citizen ID right away. It's yours for good, even before you become an active citizen. No card needed.

Take The Principles of Freedom
Fourteen modules, about 16 hours, with short lessons, practice conversations and quick check-ins. Pause whenever life calls; your place is saved and nothing expires.

Earn your certificate
Four things, in your own time: pass the exam with 70% or more, pass your capstone (your own freedom plan), say "I commit" to each of the twelve commitments, and sign your Commitment Pledge. The pledge is a personal promise, not a contract. Your certificate never expires.

Sign your agreements
In one sitting in the app you sign the Citizenship Teaming Agreement and the Governance Addendum, and you agree to monthly dues on a separate checkbox.

Pay your first dues
$35 is charged when your citizenship is activated, after a routine sanctions screening. After that it's $35 on the 1st of each month, by autopay.

What it costs

Every price, and every way out

We'd rather you know exactly what you're signing up for. Here are the costs, including the less fun parts.

Dues: $35 a month

First charge when you're activated, then on the 1st of each month

No proration: if you activate late in a month, you also pay $35 on the 1st

Cancel on the Payments screen in the app; no call, no email needed

Your access lasts until the end of the month you paid for; no partial refunds

If a payment fails, your features, voting included, pause until you catch up

Your dues keep the Citizen Portal and our support team running, and help carry the yearly cost of holding the village land

The course: $99, once

Includes the whole course and two exam attempts

After a first attempt that doesn't pass, you wait 7 days before the next one

Each extra attempt is $25; it's non-refundable once you start it

Full refund if you ask within 7 days of paying and haven't started the exam

If something breaks on our side during a test, your next try is free

If you hold land: your land rights in Freedom Village depend on citizenship, so while you hold land you can't cancel in the app. You'll see "Contact us" instead, and our team will talk you through your options, including transferring your unit to another citizen or keeping it and staying a citizen.

What you're agreeing to

You'll read every page in the app before you sign, and you can download a sealed copy any time. Here's the short version.

Commitment Pledge

Your personal promise to live by the twelve commitments. It's a statement of who you want to be. It isn't a contract and creates no payment obligation.

Citizenship Teaming Agreement

How you and the team that runs Freedom Nation work together: what citizenship includes, your dues, how either side can end it, and how we settle a disagreement fairly. It runs month to month. It never obliges you to take on land.

Governance Addendum

The rules for community votes: one citizen, one vote; how to hand your vote to someone you trust and take it back; and the pause on voting while dues are unpaid.

Dues authorization

A separate checkbox, never pre-ticked, that lets us charge $35 a month until you cancel. It spells out when we charge and exactly how to stop.

Is there an annual payment option?

Not at the moment. Dues are monthly, so you're never locked in for longer than a month.

I was a citizen before the new portal. Do I start over?

No. Founding citizens keep their citizenship. When you claim your account you'll be asked to sign the Governance Addendum so you can take part in community votes.

What if I start the course and decide it isn't for me?

Ask within 7 days of paying, before you start the exam, and we'll refund the full $99. After that, the course stays yours to finish whenever you like.

Why do you screen me before activation?

To comply with U.S. sanctions law, we screen every new citizen against government sanctions lists before activation. It's usually quick and automatic. If something needs a closer look, we'll tell you and aim to sort it out within two business days.
